I had planned on summiting Sundial if safe to do so. Audibly collapsing snow and warming snows turning me back while circumventing the boulder fields (please see pic). \n </div>\n\n<div>While snowshoeing I observed wet release or cornice fall induced avalanches from Superior along the Cottonwood ridge to Dromedary and likely into Broads Twins. \n </div>\n\n<div>The avalanche I reporting on occurred SE of Sundial. It was likely the result of a cornice fall that entrained quite a bit of snow as it raced downslope. \n </div>\n\n<div>These avys will likely only get more prominent as the late May heat punishes the snowpack this week.
